OK, the 'Chequers Deal' might already be falling apart at the seams, but a CTRL F on the PDF of the white paper, look for 'musicians' and they're mentioned twice, specific reference to the recognition that touring musicians (and their supporting crew) will need specialist arrangements to enable friction free movement. That's kind of good news, especially after we heard today that the DCMS have been working with our friends at UK Music to research current arrangements in all EU member states for musicians and the like from non-EU territories, the theory being that arrangements for us should be now worse or even better. The vibe is that most are fairly simple and painless. There, a glimmer of hope...if we don't exit hard style.
