The Role:


Our team is rapidly expanding and an opportunity has arisen for a skilled and reliable Driver, who is looking for a dynamic role within a friendly, knowledgeable and results driven team.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Driving / transporting lighting and rigging equipment between sites, predominantly within the UK, but also on an international basis when necessary.
  • Assisting with the loading and unload of trucks, when required.
  • Ensuring that the correct documentation is collected, completed and processed, such as delivery notes.
  • Carrying out the mandatory daily vehicle safety checks in accordance with our company procedures.
  • Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy, hygienic and roadworthy at all times. It is a requirement that the driver takes the responsibility to report any faults, service requirements, damages or incidents to Management immediately.


Secondary Responsibilities:


  • Awareness of basic vehicle maintenance for our fleet. (Oil, Water, Bulbs etc.)
  • General warehouse duties as directed by their Line Management Reporting Line, this will be during the period when they are not required to perform their primary duties.
  • Submit their photo driving licence for inspection to Neg Earth Lights when required, this will include access to the DVLA driving licence checking system.
  • Keep Neg Earth Lights updated should any health concerns or disabilities arise that effects their driving ability.


Standard Companywide Responsibilities:


  • Any other duties as required / authorised by your Line Manager / Line Management reporting line.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Comply with all Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensuring the assigned vehicles, warehouse and other relevant work areas are kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
  • Load and Unload Trucks, when required.
  • To ensure that all flight cases are cleaned, maintained in line with company standards, labeled and stored appropriately.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience:



  • Previous experience within a similar role as a Driver.
  • Proven driving experience / licence for the following:
    • LGV (Over 3500kg no upper restriction) – Class C
    • Must possess a current clean UK driving licence.
    • Completed 35 hours of LGV driver CPC training and hold a current LGV driver CPC card / qualification.
    • Possess a valid digital Tacho card to permit LGV driving and possess a good working knowledge of GB Domestic and EU Rules.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Ability to take ownership and accountability.
    • Proven problem solving skills, adaptability and flexibility. 
    • Autonomy and the ability to work as part of a team.
    • Customer focused with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Adaptable and results orientated.
    • Possess a good working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and be able to apply this practically to our fleet.
    • Be prepared to work for paid overtime and flexible hours when required. (Including weekends).



  • LGV (Class C with a trailer over 750kg) – Class CE (C+E).
  • Professional experience from driving internationally, particularly Europe.
  • Experience within the lighting / entertainment industry.
  • Experience within a rental warehouse environment.
  • Experience with a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office.
