About You & The Role:

 

Our team is rapidly expanding and an opportunity has arisen for a skilled and reliable Driver, who is looking for a dynamic role within a friendly, knowledgeable and results driven team.

 

Are you a great communicator and collaborative problem solver? Is building and maintaining strong relationships really important to you, even in challenging times? Do you have bags of patience and OK with manual labour? Are you a resilient self-starter who prioritises like a pro to stay ahead of the game? Can you respond calmly and maintain focus when faced with the challenges of last minute changes?

 

 


 

You’ll play an essential part in your team and company success story by:

 

  • Driving / transporting lighting and rigging equipment between sites, predominantly within the UK, but also in Europe when necessary.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading trucks, when required.
  • Ensuring that the correct documentation is collected, completed and processed, such as delivery notes.
  • Carrying out the mandatory daily vehicle safety checks in accordance with our company procedures.
  • Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy, hygienic and roadworthy at all times.

 

 

Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

We can’t live without:

  • A current clean UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience within a similar role as a Driver.
  • Proven LGV (Over 3500kg no upper restriction) – Class C driving experience and licence
  • 35 hours of LGV driver CPC training and hold a current LGV driver CPC card / qualification.
  • Professional experience of driving in Europe
  • A valid digital Tacho card to permit LGV driving and possessing a good working knowledge of GB Domestic and EU Rules.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and be able to apply this practically to our fleet.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Autonomy and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability.
  • Proven problem solving skills, adaptability and flexibility. 
  • Customer focused with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and results orientated.
  • The show must go on so providing a 7 day operation/service is key. Therefore the ability to work paid overtime on occasions, including weekends is essential.

 

Nice to have, but we’ll be happy to offer additional training and support in:

  • Experience within the lighting / entertainment industry.
  • Experience within a rental warehouse environment.
  • Experience with a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office.

 

We are also curious about:

  • LGV (Class C with a trailer over 750kg) – Class CE (C+E).
