The Role:

Our team is rapidly expanding and an opportunity has arisen for a knowledgeable Maintenance Technician, who possesses both the City and Guilds Electrical qualification (2365) and the 17th Addition electrical training (2382). The successful individual will be looking for a dynamic warehouse based role within a friendly and results orientated team.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To test and repair mains distribution and other technical items, including PAT testing and RCD testing and logging the test data on the Company database.
  • To repair and maintain all stock cables.
  • Fault finding and assembly work in relation to electronic components.
  • As directed by management, to assist others with power distribution, motor control, cabling, bespoke equipment and special projects.
  • Prepare and maintain intercom systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is sent out and returned in line with the Company Stock Management process.
  • The purchase of equipment/parts using the Company Purchasing Order process.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that Method Statements for working practices are kept up to date.
  • Stock barcoding.
  • To maintain stock levels, through liaison with the Equipment Team, reliably maintaining spare parts and stock levels for all of the aforementioned equipment, liaising with manufacturers, suppliers and the Neg Earth Lights Parts Team.
  • Prepare and maintain lighting equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain kinesys motion control systems.

 

Standard Companywide Responsibilities:

  • Any other duties as required / authorised by your Line Manager / Line Management reporting line.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Comply with all Policies and Procedures.
  • Load and Unload Trucks, when required.
  • Ensuring the Warehouse and work areas are kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven practical experience in a similar role.
  • City and Guilds Electrical qualification (2365).
  • 17th Addition electrical training.(City and Guilds 2382).
  • Electronic and electrical technician experience.
  • Soldering and wiring skills.
  • Electrical safety knowledge and appreciation.
  • Knowledge of 3 phase power and distribution.
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability.
  • Autonomy and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Customer focused with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and results orientated.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Ability to work for paid overtime when required (including weekends).
