THE FAC INVITES YOU TO ITS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Posted by Andy Lenthall on

The Featured Artist Coalition (FAC), the UK artist trade body, is delighted to announce that its 2020 Annual General Meeting is taking place at 18:00 GMT on Wednesday 14th October 2020. This year’s AGM will be hosted online, due to continuing Covid-19 restrictions, and we are expecting an insightful evening as we look back at an unprecedented year in music.

Join us to find out how the FAC team has been representing and supporting the artist community, and hear what artists have been doing to stay connected, entertain & support their fans and colleagues. The evening will include updates about the FAC 2020 rebrand, new and existing events and partnerships, and important campaigns the organisation has been involved in. We will also share exciting news about the FAC’s outreach and membership, including many new additions to the FAC Ambassadors, the Board and the Breakthrough & Emerging Artists Together (BEAT) board. We’re also delighted to welcome many new members for the first time.

We will hear from FAC’s Artist In Residence, David Rowntree (Blur), who will share some insights into the past year at the FAC. The FAC AGM 2020 will also host a panel of artist including FAC Director, John Robb, Ambassador, Kelli-Leigh, FAC Advocate, Laura Bettinson, and BEAT Board-er MIRI, who will discuss highlights, releases, innovations & live streamed gigs in ‘The Year In Music’.

The FAC invites you to join an evening of celebrating music, artists and highlighting the challenges that so many of us had to and still have to overcome. Grab your favourite drink, pin up your favourite album poster & throw on your best band t-shirt for the FAC Annual General Meeting 2020.

David Martin, FAC General Manager, said:

“It’s no secret that the last year, and in particular, the last six month have been extraordinarily challenging and uncertain for the music industry, even more so for the artist community.  We have however, seen much great work too and I look forward to welcoming attendees as we look back on the last 12 months at the FAC and across the industry.”
