The PSA has worked with employers in the development of an Apprenticeship Standard and Assesment Plan for Live Event Technicians. Designed as a 'warehouse to front of house' development, the Apprenticeships add another entry point for the next generation of technicians, delivering and assessing the required skills, knowledge, and behaviours in a flexible package.

As part of the Assessment Plan, employers have developed an Employer Occupational Brief. This document specifies the desired core skills and product knowledge required of aprentices. This separate document allows the flexibility of annual review and update to reflect technological developments. It also lists the knowledge that employers regard as essential early goals, especially with regard to safety. This can be found here.
