The DCMS has been asked to help the Office of the Small Business Commissioner gather informal evidence on the main concerns of the creative sector regarding late payment issues for freelancers and small businesses and is keen to hear ideas and recommendations from industry for effective solutions to encourage earlier payment of invoices. This could include any surveys or anecdotal evidence from trade bodies. A wider formal consultation across the sector will occur once a White Paper is launched.
