After many months of drafting, redrafting and editing, leading suppliers of stages and similar structures for live events have worked together to produce a code of practice. It's a timely publication, wth the imminent changes to the construction Design and Management Regulations due to place specific duties on clients to plan effectively and to provide time and resource to enable safe working, the guidance shows clearly how those obligations can be met.
It's safe to say that the initiative was kick started by Serious Stages, providing the platform for discussion and space and sustenance at gatherings. We can't exactly say that the HSE backs the code, but they did help out. It's in our member resource centre, should you wish to grab a free copy. It's also available from and major structure suppliers.
