Where do you work?
I am the Founder of Inspired Event Logistics, based near Marlow in Buckinghamshire. I have been part of the production community for over 25 years, supporting clients with Carnets, customs, transport and freighting of equipment for tours and events around the world.
What do you love about the event production industry?
I love this industry – the people, the pace and the places it takes you. There have been many highlights, usually involving far flung destinations, from the Maldives to Saudi Arabia, Venice to the Caribbean. A particularly memorable one was managing the logistics for a VIP birthday party in Mexico, where the entertainment included Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Stevie Wonder, Enrique Iglesias and The Beach Boys; with pontoons floating on the sea with fireworks. I have also been fortunate enough to attend multiple Olympic Games supporting Ceremonies, Broadcasting and the GB Team, including in Sydney, Athens, Beijing London, Sochi, Salt Lake City, Turin & Rio.
How long have you been a PSA member?
I only recently joined the PSA, in 2024.
Tell us about your experience as a board/council member?
I’m only a few months in, but it’s been a pleasure getting to know the other members and working alongside such passionate, like-minded people. It’s exciting to be part of conversations around new initiatives and how we can better support our members.
What are your goals for the PSA this year?
I am excited to help raise the profile of the PSA and encourage more members to join. I’m also keen to support the community by sharing my knowledge around carnets, international transportation, customs, and logistics — and assist members facing challenges in these areas.
Why is it important for you to be part of the PSA council?
Serving on the Council gives me the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas, share my experience, and help shape the future of our industry.
What is your advice to new members?
This industry is fast-moving and often unpredictable, so staying calm under pressure and being solutions-focused will take you far — especially in areas like logistics where the small details really matter. Build strong relationships, be generous with your knowledge, and never stop asking questions. No one knows everything, and often it’s your network that gets you through. Good planning is essential, but the ability to adapt when things change (because they will) is just as important. And don’t forget to enjoy the ride — it’s a brilliant industry full of passionate people and unforgettable moments.
