Since bringing our unique brand to Europe, our rapidly growing UK business has an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer/Draftsperson based at our Coventry office.
Working as Mechanical Engineer, your core focus is the design and fabrication of
mechanical components of innovation and excellence for the stage lighting industry, with a special attention to structural engineering and packaging.
In addition, you will have a pivotal role, supporting the Christie Lites account representatives, show managers, project managers and clients producing supporting project documentation including, proof of concept, rigging plots and power schematics
A passion for mechanical engineering
Experience creating 2D part drawings for manufacturing/assembly
Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ProE or other.) Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, materials science, DFM/DFA,
etc. Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar) Creativity and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
The successful candidate will be a resilient self-starter, have strong communication skills, attention to detail and use good business reasoning in all their decisions.
